Gentle Years Yoga
Our Gentle Years Yoga Class is a chair based yoga suitable for anyone who wishes to or needs to take their yoga practice a little more gently. This includes people with age related health conditions or health conditions that require a yoga practice that is modified.
Gentle Years Yoga is an authentic traditional Hatha yoga practice that has been modified to be chair based. A 75 minute class will include breathing exercises, a pulse raising activity, concentration activities, co-ordination activities, resistance work, yoga postures and a relaxation. It is suitable for all and can be adapted for all. There is time for setting up and packing away factored into the 90 minutes (10:30am – 12:00pm) to ensure that the full 75 minutes class takes place.
Class is followed by optional 30 mins tea / coffee / chat for people to socialise in Westbourne Hall. This is operated on a kitty basis with class attendees paying £1 for refreshments and biscuits. The socialising takes place after the yoga from 12:00pm – 12:30pm.
To attend our 12th March Tuesday Gentle Years Yoga Class at 10:30am you need to complete a health questionnaire and return it to us.
