Information about the course 

Do you want to deepen your knowledge of yoga? Join us on this 60-hour BWYT (British Wheel of Yoga Training) Foundation Course 1 personal development course where we will delve deeper into preparation for practice, asana, mudra, basic breathing, kriya, pranayama, concentration techniques, relaxation techniques, mantra, talks and discussions on the context and meaning of Yoga.  We are passionate about how we can apply the ancient techniques of yoga as a practical guide to help deal with stress and anxiety in modern life. 

We cover all of the core syllabus AND all of the optional extra topics.

On this course you get access to our exclusive on-line course area where we upload handouts, videos, recommendations and useful learning materials.

The BWYT Foundation Course 1 will run one Saturday a month for 10 months.

Cost

The total cost of the course is £699 (£639 course fees and £60 BWY registration fee). There is the option to pay these fees by monthly instalments, please see the initial enquiry letter below for further details.
Students will also need to be British Wheel of Yoga members if they are not already. The cost of joining the BWY is £42 per year and you can join on-line at https://www.bwy.org.uk/join-the-bwy/ Students are also asked to purchase a copy of the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali by Sri Swami Satchidananda (Revised edition published 2012 ISBN 9781938477072 and published by Integral Yoga Publications.) The Venue – St Bridget’s Centre – Hilbre Room

The course will run at St Bridget’s Centre in West Kirby. We will be in the lovely Hilbre Room which is a peaceful, airy, light room with a lovely view across to the church.

Location

The Centre is located behind St Bridget’s Church in the old village of West Kirby on St Bridget’s Lane adjacent to St Bridget’s Primary School. Access is available from St Bridget’s Lane or through the Churchyard from Rectory Road and Church Road.
